Sending Happy Mail :)

Gals.. its finally mailed... and once received... Happy Mail it will be  :)   ( least I hope ! )
Now, I must state for the record, that we were only required to do or purchase at least two.  I on the other hand tend to go overboard. With that said... this was to be in the mail by April 2nd.  Here it is the 9th!!!  Ive been soo busy I had not been able to complete on time and thus two extra goodies for my friend  :)
lucky you !

First is a wooden altered star and part of my teaser posted earlier.. hope you like!! this one was close to staying behind!

Second addition for Laura is this sweet summer canvas book, filled with papers to keep notes on your swaps and wish lists :)  I loved this and stickled just a bit to make is shine.
come on gals everything looks good all sparkley!

Ok here we go.......
These are the wish list items Laura posted.
That I could select from...  :)

1. stick pins--no bright colors. I like pinks, earthy tones, black, and pearls

And this is what she will receive.  Not just pins... but a sweet tea cup pin cushion to hold her favorites!

2. I would love some lace trims.. not sure if that qualifies or not

I would say it Qualifies !!  I stole from my stash, tea stained and packed in a small hat box for storage :)

3.an altered tin that is shabby chic or vintage.. I want to be able to fill it with cards

Ok... I was going to alter this, but being that Laura is a bit country.. I could not bring myself to cover it.
My husband was disapointed this was leaving the house.  It did look great in my kitchen!
Should be the perfect fit for a bucket full of cards!

4. fabric flowers or grunge paper flowers

or..... BOTH !  :)
These were made with ribbon, lace felt and paper.
I did throw in two purchased ones from my stash.
Again I packaged them up in a cute hat box... to stack along with the lace one

5. something (maybe wood--doesn't have to be...) that is altered to match my craft room to hold pens, tools, etc

Not wood, but how about a metal three cup spinning container ??  I did alter this one and hope it works with Laura's newly painted craft room.

And I just could not go with out sharing the stacked boxes that were filled with the flowers and lace.
Laura I hope everything goes well in your crafting space!!

  Enjoy!!!

Collectors Cut Challenge 7
My scrappy friends... this is going to be another picture heavy post. Hope you dont mind and that you can absorb it all.  For this weeks challenge I had Cody draw and Bryan draw and out came Walk In My Garden and Holdiay Cakes ???  Ok so I thought I was going to be creative and follow in the footsteps of a fellow CC friend ( Paula ) and try to create with multiple carts.
Then I had this combo on my hands.. ugh. Well with a busy work week I had some time to think about it. Paula had purged from her supplies and sent us the precious little mailboxes. So we decided to all have our hand at creating something with them. My challenge grew harder. LOL. Well... WIMG forced the flowers right... so through the Holiday Cake book I'd browse till I stumbled on to the round eyelet lace pattern. Perfect !!! The following is the end result. I used HC for my house numbers also. All the flowers, yep WIMG. So if your anything like me, and have this cart wondering why you had it at all... just challenge yourself and you might be surprised. I know I was. Be sure to stay tuned to the Collectors Cut blog for the latest ! We have some amazing inspiration there !!! http://thecollectorscut.blogspot.com/

My family... at house number 7555 where all my love lives.   :)

Thanks Friends !!!!   and Oh... yes I realized after my husband pointed it out that I put the flag on backwards.   Can I blame the manufacturer??  LOL
Until next week.... enjoy !!!

Collectors Cut Challenge #4 - Sentimentals

Ok my bloggin friends, For the Collectors Cut Challenge, I drew Popsicle stick " Sentimentals ", and knew I wanted to use the Bee Hive. Who does not love that little hive hum? Well I had planned a layout for my sweet niece and its still in the works... but I also had other ideas too. Unfortunately I could not complete all three projects for this particular challenge. I will be posting the layout in the future, so stay tuned.

The first of my Sentimentals projects below is a sweet little metal sign that I pulled straight from my stash! Gotta love that !!! I also wanted to use up some oldies but goodies paper from Basic Grey. Lemon aid collection. All the cuts are from Sentimental including the ' Honey ' title. could not resist the opportunity to make a Honey do board to hold lists. However I believe this will actually become more of a " Honey "... just do it list for myself..and all the things I tend to put off. Ill be hanging this cutie in my scrapping space to keep as a reminder of things I'd like to do for birthdays or holidays. the large bee.... yep you guessed it... Its a magnet!! so the list can easily be added and replaced.
Hope you like what you see and it inspires you to pull out your cartridge and get to cutting!

The second of my projects was to use the butterfly cut from this cart. All papers .. again came from my stash. The antenna's, I used pearl additions for wedding boquet's. I love looking for deals in all kinds of places, and these were on sale to boot. The little stacked pearls with the rhinestone centers were the perfect finishing touch. I also embossed using my cuttlebug and all layers were sewn.

Be sure to check out the Collectors Cut for more inspiration! http://thecollectorscut.blogspot.com/

A few ornaments created

Ornaments created for my friend. I love the holiday and could not create just one. So ..... one was painted, the other altered and glittered and the last one.. well she loves vintage and the snowflake just reminded me of the old pipecleaner ornaments from my grandmothers tree. :)

Gingerbread Ornaments

Yes Mam, you guessed it. Another 'sweet' project for my friends. I think I'll be doing many more of these as the holidays get closer. For this project, the words of inspiration were " All hearts come home for Christmas ". I again took a little spin, and settled for ' All hearts come home for Cookies '. This little guy was a gingerbread ornament form I purchased at HL recently. He is covered again in Basic Gray paper then I chalked his cheeks, face drawn on and puffy white paint used for the icing on both the front and the back. The finishing touch was to glitter him all over to give the effect of glistening sugar. How could you not crave cookies after seeing this fello? Thus, this project called for a box of sugar cookies to tie him to.

The Lollie Pop Guild

I am back :) with another project to share. This item was also for a small swap between friends.
The words of inspiration, " Over the Rainbow ". I must have come up with 1000 ideas for this project but settled on one. I'm short and people comment alot about my height so I could not pass up the opportunity to create this little basket and fill it with sweet goodness. Tagged ' Courtsey of the Lollie Pop Guild ' and made in good ol' 'Munchkin Land'. It would not be complete with out the little blue bird. I mean... its over the rainbow where blue birds fly right ?
I lined the inside completly although the pics do not show it. The paper line used was Basic Grey's Lemonaid collection and the blue bird was created with Stampin Up's bird and branch die.

Spooktacular !!!

It's that time of year. The time of year the air changes and spiders crawl. I love the fall and I love to paper craft.
Ive been busy creating a few things for a mini swap that I was in. This is the first of the items.
I created three for each of the girls that participated. I figured anyone who owns a pair of cherished scissors could use something like this in their creative space.

The 'Beware" was cut from the new OCT 31st Cricut Mini cart.
The paper background is from Graphic 45's Halloween in Wonderland. I love that collection!!!
The orange paper ruffel was made from Basic Grey's dog collection.
Easy peasy !! Now I should have made myself one!

Happy Scrapping..... more to come :)
