One Crafty Speller
*** POOF ***
Hello Blog Land !! feels like its been forever! No worries.. FALL is here and this by far is one of my favorite crafting seasons. How about you? Its a Happy SOUS Friday Challenge and I sure hope you participate in this one. Do not forget to link up on the official SOUS Blog. Can you guess what this challenge was about? If you said Halloween... wrong! Our queen crafty witch or is that goddess... Nanne' challenges us to come up with a project with the theme " Hocus Pocus " so anything to do with magic! I could have come up with something Disney, or some sort of magical moment with my family. Instead I took a queue from my most amazing talent.. or lack there of. " Spelling " !!! LOL I'm a scrapbooker you see, and my most favorite subject, a straight A his whole life now Sophomore in college studying to enter the medical field with a minor in foreign language. So I hope I have painted the picture for you. For you see, I'm the creative one, not the brains in the family... and he does not hesitate to point out my every misspelled word with in his albums. So nothing could be more appropriate than this to adorn the door of my crafty space. I think its important to take special note in the ' spelling ' portion of this sign.... for you see, I could not resist the opportunity to add this cute cuttlebug frog adorned with my Sizzix witches die hat to which his little rabbit ears poke through. LOL !! thus emphasizing the 'magic' part of this theme and my inability to cast appropriate 'spells'. I also used my Cricut cartridge Happy Hauntings for the witch and frame. Sizzix font strip for the message. I just love how this turned out and hope you are inspired to run to your crafty caves and create create create !
Happy Crafting my fellow spellbinders !!! :) Be sure to check out the Official SOUS BLOG for more amazing inspiration ! Until next time ** POOF ** :)

Awesomness
SOUS Die Cut Reveal Day. This week the challenge was STARS. And this week I again was able to scrap some way overdue photos. So glad these were in my pile for this challenge. Not sure that I would have thought of it otherwise so it was indeed fate.
As you can see I am still into my six by six obsession as of late. I found that I really like the mix of pattern used for back grounds and then used again as layers in my embellishments.! I mean come on gals, how can we purchase an entire paper collection with out breaking the bank :) who does not love that ? For this layout I turned to my Cricut Cartridge Superman for the comic strip stars, and also used a Martha Stewart border punch of stars.
These two boys have grown so much since this photo. and grown so fast. ** sigh. I just cherish the memories made.

Handy Cards
Happy Friday Friends. Today is reveal day for the SOUS Die Cut team. We were challenged to use a Die cut Gate. I created several cards to keep in my stack of go to cards when I need em'.
I love that these can be used as sympathy, encouragement, or for a thinking of you. For the Gate I turned to Cricut Cartridge Picturesque, and for the Bird - Artiste. The tulips are from a Cricut Lite - Botanicals. I also embossed the gate giving it a woodgrain feel. And again, I am finding that the six by six paper pads are a fabulous go to. Everything corridinates, and I dont feel like I am waisting paper. Just love that.
Yes I know there are so many options out there for die cutting, but for now my Cricut and my investment still meet my needs. I just know that I have not used all my cartridges to their fullest potential and will continue to do so until I cant any longer... or .. until I cave to the newest in electronic cutting.
Be sure to check out the SOUS blog for inspiration where you will find that we all use different tools and seem to all create an everlasting memory.
